Old ways die hard. Corporations hang on to the actions that made them successful decades in the past, and seem powerless to change and adapt to changing environments and needs.
Corporate education is often the last to change. Brick and mortar still dominate. Teacher led classes are common and leadership development hasn’t changed much since the 80s.
And, even though we are deeply into the Internet age and despite the knowledge that many world class universities have already placed content on-line and made it available to anyone for free, corporations are still redundantly creating (and paying for) curricula and content.
This slide show briefly highlights the changes that have occurred and some of the features of a learning system that begins to reflect the century we are living in.
